NEWTONS FIRST LAW

  • An object in motion stays in motion
  • and an object at rest stays at rest.

EXAMPLES

  • A car is parked and staying at rest
  • If you start pushing the car it stays in motion
  • Untill it is forced to stop.

  • The force acting on an object equals the objects
  • Mass times its acceleration

  • If you throw a small ball across the room
  • It goes far
  • If you throw a weight ball it will go a shorter distance
  • Because it has more mass

NEWTONS THRID LAW

FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION

EXAMPLES

  • Bouncing a ball on the floor and it
  • Bouncing back off the floor
