• Better than chair, hanging, etc.

RELIGION

• Condoned by all major religion
• Catholics- Evangelium Vitae
• "Ought not go to the extreme

• in cases of absolute necessity."

BIBLE

• "Whosoever shall shed a man's blood,
• his blood shall be shed." Genesis 6:9
• "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth."
• Leviticus 20- comdemns adultery,
• homosexuality, incest, curse parents

COMMANDMENT

• 5th- You shall not murder
• Murder, not kill
• "Unlawfully killing"

DETERRENCE

• Why kill when you could be killed?
• NYC- '76-'77- 85 recharged with murder

LIFE IN PRISON

• Pros: Less controversy, longer
• suffering, cheaper
• Cons: Less justice, decent life,
• dangerous, decrease value of life

MY OPINION

• Completely 100% for it
• Heinous crimes deserve death
• Life in prison is not enough
