Final project for the Fault In Our Stars - Make a Top 10 of places to go in Amsterdam. If you happen to be going to Amsterdam, feel free to take my advice.

10 - Bloemenmarkt
Visit the world's only floating flower market! The place is full of color and world-famous Dutch Tulips. Bloemenmarkt is surely the place to go for all of your flower needs while you're in Amsterdam.

9 - Vondelpark
Visit the park named after the city's most famous poet, Joost van den Vondel, the author of Lucifer. Vondelpark is famous for it's many sculptures, flowers, lakes, and coffee shops. A great place to stop for a quick break!

8 - De Oude Kerk
Why not visit the Oude Kerk, the oldest building in all of Amsterdam? This remarkable church built in the early 14th century still stands to this day, and houses various works of art and historical artifacts. It is however located in the center of the Red Light District, so plan ahead.

7 - Amsterdamse Bos
If Vondelpark is busy, or you want a more forest feel, consider visiting Amsterdamse Bos, a forest/park three times the size of Central Park. Come and relax in the shade of this amazing forest, with beautiful foilage in the fall and in bloom.

6 - Restaurant Simpel
If you're in the mood for something to eat, and want some nice, local cuisine, made with local produce, but not looking to drop a bunch of Euros? Then this is the place for you! Great food with a great price!

5 - Rijksmuseum
How about visiting the Rijksmuseum, a museum housing many famous paintings, sculptures, prints, and maritime artifacts from Dutch history? Rijksmuseum has also been recently renovated, adding another wing filled with contemporary art, and an amazing garden.

4 - Keukenhof Gardens
Just a short 32 kilometer trip from the heart of downtown Amsterdam lies the Tulip Capital of the World. If Bloemenmarkt wasn't your cup of coffee, go straight to the heart of the Tulip Kingdom. The surrounding area is full of traditional Dutch windmills too! This place can't be missed!

3 - Anne Frank House/Museum
Visit the classic Amsterdam destination, and see the house (now it's a museum) that Anne Frank resided in during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands during World War II, where Anne wrote the diary that showed the world what it was like to be a young woman in hiding from the Nazis in the 1940's.

2 - Canal Ride
One just can't go to Amsterdam and not go on a canal ride, seeing all the wonderful shops, cafes, and more that the city has to offer. While you're in Amsterdam, reserve a canal ride. You will discover new places to go that aren't listed on here, and have a great time while doing it.

1 - Van Gogh Museum
The Vincent Van Gogh Museum belongs on the itinerary of every tourist visiting Amsterdam. Visit the museum dedicated to the artwork of one of the world's greatest and most renowned artists, Vincent Van Gogh. Let your eyes rest upon countless masterpieces, including Almond Blossom and The Bedroom. Your eye's will thank you when you're done.
