PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TOP 20 TEENS

BY: Kaia Zentz

RELEVANCY

  • The relevancy of a irrelevant class is not always to be found only in subject matter or the content.
  • There is relevancy in understanding the concepts of classes like science, even if you are not going to be a scientist.
  • Top 20s find relevancy in the process of going to class every day, learning the elements, doing the reading at night, and raising their hand in class.
  • Value is not to be just found in the elements, but by engaging in class you can find value as well.

BOREDOM

  • The faster your thinking is going, the more prone you are to be bored.
  • Common indicators of boredom: doodling, finger drumming, pen tapping, knee bouncing, hair twirling, pen chewing, day dreaming and staring.

PROCRASTINATION

  • Procrastination: putting off something that is unpleasant or burdensome.
  • The down side to procrastination is that the unpleasant thing you putt off still needs to be done.

LISTENING

  • The secret to learning is effective listening.
  • Putting thoughts of everything else in the parking lot can help you listen better in class.
