Salute!

10. Speer Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Paso Robles
$12

This fantastic Cab from Paso Robles is medium to full-bodied, showing plum and blackberry notes with terrific balance.
Great for drinking on its own or with grilled veggies, light meat dishes or soft cheese.

Oh yeah and it tastes as good as or better some expensive Napa Cabs, Be VERY AFRAID, BV.

9. Antonin Rodet Pinot Noir
Burgundy, France
$17

This fresh and unoaked Pinot Noir is deep red in color with aromas of black cherry, chocolate and licorice that lead to a silky, tannic finish.
Its fruit is balanced and without oak it wont upstage your food, and it pairs with EVERYTHING. (Yes EVEN fish!)

8-Terradora Aglianico
Campania, Italy IGT
$17

Long referred to as the "Barolo of the South" grown in the volcanic soil of Vesuvius.
Terradora is the summer doppleganger for fancy barbecues you would normally bring a Barolo to.
Amazing structure, minerality, balance, and looooong finish, but medium bodied, so as to be enjoyed in hot weather.

7. El Coto Rioja Crianza
Spain
$10

This medium bodied Tempranillo shows plenty of red fruit, earth and oak.
Equally good on its own, with spicy food or a secret weapon in Sangria.

6. Chais St Laurent Chinon, France
$12

This tasty Chinon made from 100% Cabernet Franc, aged in a combination of steel vats and used barrels for about 8 months has flavors of Red berry fruits, spices, pepper and fresh balancing acidity.
An ideal picnic wine, it pairs beautifully with charcuterie, soft cheeses and vegetable crudites.

5-Henry Fessy
Beaujolais-Villages, France
$13

In summer medium-bodied reds like Gamay that can be served cool are particularly appealing.

Beaujolais fits the bill beautifully. A far cry from the simple watery Beaujolais Nouveau released each November, Beaujolais-Villages has concentrated berry flavors and texture more like Pinot Noir.

The beverage of choice in bistros, cafés and country picnics: the perfect matchfor summer foods.

4-Lini 910 "Lambrusca" Lambrusco Secco
Emilia Romagna, Italy

This elegant, northern Italian signature sparkling red wine, is the go-to for summer celebrations and barbecues.
Pairs beautifully with pizzas or pasta, steaks, charcuterie or chops.
Bone dry, fizzy, and refreshing!

3. Fabre Montmayou Malbec
Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina
$13

You cant have a barbecue without Malbec.
This one is a gem. Lush fruit, with hints of tobacco, leading to a tannic finish.
Drinks like a wine 3 times the price!

2. Roth Estate Merlot
Alexander Valley, California
$17

Please don't even think of taking wine advice from "Sideways"
Why anyone would listen to someone that steals from their own mother, is beyond me.

This wine is a gorgeous example of what a skilled winemaker can do.
It is elegant, structured, with gorgeous fruit, and a restrained, long finish.

Grilling steaks or brats? This wine was MADE for you.

1. Marenco "Pineto"
Brachetto D'acqui,
Piemonte, Italy
$14

This ridiculously tasty dessert wine/aperitif starts with the flavors of ripe raisins, and black cherries, and finishes with a tart effervescent flourish.

So easily drinkable and addictive they should have a warning label on the bottle.
