CONDITIONS

  • During this storm you may experience very strong winds and debris getting blown around.
  • Depending on the rating of the tornado, you may not experience those effects often

CAUSES

  • Tornadoes occur when different temperatures and humidity come together.

LOCATION AND TIMING

  • The Midwest states are very prone/at risk of tornado activity, as it is part of Tornado Alley.
  • Tornados mostly occur in the summer because of the warm and humid climate.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • Go to a safe place such as a basement or sellar
  • Stay away from windows
  • Protect your head
