  • a destructive storm in which powerful winds move around a central point
  • Tornadoes form when two difrent winds at two different altitudes go in two different drecons casing a tornado
  • Tornadoes can kill at least 36 people in 5 minutes

  • Some tornades can be a mile across

Tornadoes occur during May and into early June. Most tornadoes occur at between 4 to 9 pm

HOW ARE TORNADOES

  • Measured: Tornadoes are measured using the Fujita scale
  • Detected: They must be felt or seen to be detected
  • Forecasted: Through how fast their winds are

DAMAGES

  • Some tornadoes can have speeds up to 316 mph
  • There are 8 degrees of damage ranging
  • In 2013 in Moore Oklahoma , 24 people were killed in a large tornado
  • With a estimated cost of 2 billion dollers in home damages

SAFETY

  • Don't go outside
  • Shut all windows and doors
  • Go to a basement with a medical kit and cover your head
  • A tornadoe watch means across the united states, and a warning is in a designated area
  • Tornadoes can KILL you, be SAFE and PREPARED
