Toyota or Toyoda originated from Japan. It was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1934.
In 1934 it built the first engine and the first car in 1935.
In December 1945 Toyota was given permission by the U.S military to start up peacetime production.
After WW2 Toyota was kept busy making trucks but by 1947 it began making the Model SA
Toyota set a headquarters in Hollywood in 1957 the first Toyota car registered in the U.S in 1958.
California license plate installed by Toyota Motor Sales(USA) By 1967 Toyota had become well estabglished in the U.S
Although Toyota is known for cars it still in the business of making automatic looms and electric sewing machines.
