PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TRAIL OF TEARS

BY ANTONIO MICALE

The Americans moved the natives out of the area for gold and profit from selling land. Americans did not let the natives bring any items on the deadly walk besides the clothes they were wearing.

The walk was very difficult and many Indians died. So many Indians died that they couldn't even bury there loved ones they just pushed them to the sides of the road.

Many children lost there parents and were left as orphans with relatives to take care of them. If the relatives died they had no one left and were left as children to fend for themselves. Many deaths were caused by diseases, frostbite, and pneumonia.
