PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TRANSPIRATION

BY MATTHEW CHEN

Transpiration is important in many ways. The plant needs water for Photosynthesis and because it helps the plant cool down

I questioned about the roots on how it absorbs water. Water goes into the soil and then the root heirs absorb the water.

After the roots absorbs the water, the water moved up the xylem which is in the stem like veins in our body

Then it goes up the stem all the way to the leaves.

When it reaches the leaves the water exits out of the stomates which is controlled by the guard cells.

The water that exits is water vapor. Transpiration is a part of evaporation and evaporation is a stage of the water cycle
