  • We still see some of these steam engines today as they run on the tracks as a cargo train.

1775

  • 1775 – Jacques Perrier invents a steamship Steam Ships was first invented by Jacques Perrier in 1775.
  • Steam ships were one of the reasons in the success of the industrial revolution.
  • Some of these are still in use as ferries.

  • Bicycles were made by John Berber.
  • It helped workers get to work faster.

1814

  • The steam locomotives were made in this time period

  • In 1839, an improved version of the bicycle was made by Kirkpatrick Macmillan.

  • In 1857, John Pullman invented the first sleeper car for trains.
  • It was known as the Pullman sleeping car.
