  • Ecuador's Climate is typically warm with temperatures in the region of 77 degrees.
  • Coastal areas are affected by ocean currents.January through April the weather is hot and rainy

GOVERMENT

  • In Ecuador there are three types of governments
  • The governments are Unitary State,Presidential System,and the constitutional Republic.

HISTORICAL SITES

Museum National has one of the country's largest collection of Ecuadorian art.With Magnificent works of Prehistoric and Colonial religious art.It was built in the 1950s.

  • The current population of Ecuador is 16,549,518 as of Thursday,March 9th,2017 based on the latest United Nations estimates.

  • Arroz con Pollo &Arroz con Camarones are a traditional food that many Ecuadorians eat.
  • Cuy is a very greasy dish and there is not a lot of meat but this fried house pet is a celebratory popular meal.

  • Librillo with rice is a meal that is used for traditions like birthdays and wedding.Librillo is the chopped and cooked stomach lining of a cow.

MONETARY SYSTEM

  • President Jamil Mahuad announced that the US dollar would be adopted as Ecuador's official currency.
  • This was done in 2000 before they used pesos as a currency.

FACTS

  • Ecuador is named after the equator which runs through the country.
  • The official name, República del Ecuador, translates as “The Republic of the Equator”.
