WHY WAS IT SET UP?

• Trocaire was set up in 1973 to express the concern of the Irish Catholic Church for the suffering of people living in the world’s poorest regions.

HOW DOES TROCAIRE WORK?

• Today Trocaire works in partnership with local and church organisations, supporting communities in over 20 developing countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to bring about lasting change.

The Irish public donated €23 million in 2014-15 to support Trocaire's work.
