• The outcome Portugal still traded and became powerful and rich

VASCO'S LIFE AFTER EXPLORATION

• Got married
• Had six sons
• Next 20 years da Gama continued to advise the Portuguese ruler on Indian affairs
• He fell ill and in December 1524 he passed away
