Growth movement a living organism has toward an external stimulus.

Difference Between Tropism/Stimulus
Positive tropism means it grows toward and negative means it grows away from.
Stimulus is a way of evoking the organism and stimuli is multiple ways.

Gravitropism
A plants response to gravity.
Positive-Grows toward Earth
Negative-Grows away

Phototropism
A plants response to light.
Positive-Grows toward light

A plants response to touch.

An example of positive thigmotropism are vines because when they touch something they grow around it.
