A tropism is the turning of all or part of an organism in a particular direction.

TTHERE IS POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE

  • It can be positive (towards gravity, water etc.)
  • It can also be negative (away from water, Gravity etc.)

STIMULI VS STIMULUS

  • Stimulus is a thing that causes a reaction in an organ or tissue.
  • Stimuli is a plural form of stimulus.

HYDROTROPISM

The movement of a plant in response to water.

GRAVITROPISM

The movement of a plant in response to gravity.

CHEMOTROPISM

The movement of a plant in response to chemicals.
