PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Chemo tropism
Growth of organisms
Such as bacteria and plants, navigated by chemical stimuli
You can see Chemo tropic movement during growth of the pollen tube
Geotropism is a turning or growth movement by plants, fungi, or animals in response to gravity
geotropism is a response to gravity
Heliotropism is the seasonal motion of a plants parts in response to the suns position
Heliotropism focuses mainly on the leaves or flowers part of a plant
Hydrotropism is a negative or positive response to a plants growth in which the direction is determined by water
The direction of growth is determined by water bc 'hydro' means water; hydrotropism
Thigmotropism is the movement in which a plant grows in response to contact with stimuli
Thigmotropism occurs when plants grow around a surface like on a wall
Genosperm are big plants with needle like leaves and reproduce using cones
Angiosperm are also big plants that will make a flower and fruits
Seedless vascular have roots, stems and leaves, they reproduce with spores
Nonvascular have NO roots, stems or leaves, live next to water, and are very small
