WHAT IS TSC?

  • TSC is basically a mild to minor hereditary mutation.

WHAT DOES TSC AFFECT?

  • TSC effects the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin, and lungs.
  • TSC effects these organs by causing them to grow non-malignant tumors.

HOW IS TSC DEVELOPED?

  • TSC can be inherited from your parents or can spawn from a spontaneous genetic mutation.

HOW IS TSC DIAGNOSED?

  • TSC is diagnosed when two major symptoms are identified in a body.
  • These symptoms can be found during ultrasounds and/or they can be visible on the skin.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LIFE EXPECTANCY WITH TSC?

  • On average, the life expectancy of someone with TSC will live a normal life other than the few mutations that have grown.

HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TSC?

  • Close to 2 people per day are born with TSC.
