• Avoiding having to engage with criticism by turning it back on the accuser - you answer criticism with critisim.
• Takes the heat off someone in an argument by shifiting the focus back to the accuser.

• Donald Trump was asked about his offensive comments made on a segment of access Hollywood over a year ago.
• He shifts the attention towards Bill Clinton, saying that his actions were far worst and called him and abuser of women.
• Shifts to Hilary saying that she attacked a the 12 year old rape victim
