  • CTAP was created to help districts build tech capacity
  • Erate funding was tied to having a 5 yr tech plan
  • First Tech plan was created in 2004
  • Last plan was updated in 2009

Current state of the Tech Plan

  • CTAP will sunset in Dec 2014
  • Best practice to have a plan-just not a 5 yr one
  • This will be the last state mandated plan that we know of
  • The committee established 5 overarching goals for TUHSD

  • 5 goals about teaching and learning
  • vision for infrastructure and hardware
  • evaluates device to student ratio

To purposefully integrate technology into the academic curriculum as a tool to enhance and extend students’ learning

Develop a performance-based method for assessing student learning of information and technology proficiency
