Before we can design our turtle habitat we will need to have an understanding what turtles will need in order to survive.

To help you begin making a list of the items that turtles will need to survive perhaps it would be wise to think about some of the things that you need to survive.

One of the most critical components in any habitat is water.

Plants are very important for a turtle survival. They provide shelter and can be a food source.

Turtle survival depends on its food source.

Mini turtles rely on a heat source to help them maintain their body temperature.

These are the main components that must be illustrated in your turtle habitat design. We will continue to add details to the turtle habitat as the lesson progresses.

Now we will refer to the drawing template that you received at the beginning of the class. We will use various lines we practice in previous classes to complete the turtle habitat in preparation for your three dimensional turtle form that will be added later. This is a two-part lesson.
