  • 'Dixon of Dock Green' was broadcast from 1955 to 1976 on BBC TV.
  • The early episodes were live, before the transition to recorded drama.
  • This episode was written by the show's creator Ted Willis and attracted a 20% audience share of the time.

In terms of genre conventions (typical elements which reflect the type of programme) can be categorised as Crime Drama but also as AQT (American Quality Television). Can you think of any other AQTs?
