Exposition

• In the beginning of the book, Bella moves to Forks, Washington from Phoenix, Arizona to live with her dad, Charlie.

Rising Action

• Towards the middle of the book, Bella meets Edward who is a vampire and they fall in love.

Climax

• In the middle of the book, Bella discovers that Edward is a vampire.
• Also in the middle of the story, Edward brings Bella to watch a vampire baseball game and accidentally puts her in danger because she is human and her blood tastes good to other vampires.

Falling Action

• Towards the end of the book, a different vampire named James, wants to eat Bella and tries to kill her but Edward defeats James just in time.

Resolution

• In the end of the book, Bella and Edward's love grows stronger, and James dies.
