PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Acrostic
A poem where the first letter of each line is lined up vertically to form a word. The word is usually the theme of the poem.
Cinquain
Poems with five lines that follow a pattern.
Diamanté
The text forms the shape of a diamond, form is similar to a cinquain.
Haiku
Japanese poem about feelings or nature that has 3 lines with 5 syllables in the first, 7 syllables in the second, and 5 syllables in the third line.
Limerick
These poems have 5 lines where the last word in line 1,2, and 5 rhyme, and the last word in line 3 and 4 rhyme.
Free Verse
This type of poem doesn't rhyme, but follows natural speech patterns.
Concrete
This type of poem is made into the shape it is about
