COMPOUND SENTENCE!

• Definition: A compound sentence needs more than one subject or predicate.
• Example:My favorite Holiday is Christmas but, I guess Thanksgiving is pretty cool too!

COMPLEX SENTENCES!

• Definition: A complex sentence has a subordinate clause or clauses.
• Example:When it is very cold outside, you need to wear a warm winter coat.
