Why is it important to study weather?

It warns others of coming potential disasters. It also helps us monitor other things that relate to the earth.

Are typhoons a serious threat to Wisconsin?

No. While we are not close enough to the equator to be within the no-hurricane zone, we are still not close enough to be on regular watch for cyclones.
