Character Archetypes:
1. Tally is the hero because she made the choice to go get pretty to test the cure for Pretties. She risked her life to go back to the city to rescue the captured people.

Dr. Cable is the villain because she doesn't tell anyone that when you do the surgery your brain gets damaged. Then Dr. Cable captures the runaway uglies because she wants everyone to become pretty. She forces them if they like it or not.

Thematic Statement:
Statement- Be a good friend.
In the book shay get's Mad because she thinks Tally stole her boyfriend. Bit Tally didn't if Shay was a good friend, Shay won't have believed the story. Tally was not a good friend either because Tally told the city about where Shay runaway. If both of them were good friends they would have not told their secret and believed a story that was not true.
