Big Ben

Big Ben is for sure something you would want to visit if you went to the UK.The clock started on May 31, 1859. There are 11 floors and they used 850 cubic metres of stone and 2600 cubic metres of bricks.

The stonehenge is another great ancient monument to visit. It took 1,600 years to build! Heaviest stones weigh 50 tons! There are at least 20 types of rocks at the stonehenge! And nearly a million people visit the stonehenge every year!

The Windsor Castle is a huge tourist attraction. The Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It is 5 hectares (13 acres). The Windsor Castle was also built by William the Conqueror in the 1070s. And later in the 1170s was rebuilt by Henry ll in stone instead of wood.During World War ll it was home to the young Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose.
