HOW WAS ULURU FORMED?
Its the hard rock of a mountain left over after softer areas have eroded away.
How was Uluru formed?

Later, 500 millions years ago, the whole area became covered in sea. The mud and sand fell to the buttom of the sea.

400 million years ago, the sea had disappeared. It was exposed to wind and sunlight which caused erosion.

Aboriginal people are spiritually connected to the land. This is why Uluru is important to the Anangu people. For them, this is a very sacred place.
