Uncle Tom's Cabin was a book about anti-slavery. That was a big part on started the civil war.
Also, it changed people's view on equal rights. The book was written by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

The Norths View!
As the north read the book they became shock on how someone can be so cruel and misguided to do this. The book became a best seller in the north. After the book came out the political problem ended now was a disgrace.

The Souths View!
The south did not have a great outlook on the book. Many people owned slaves and seeing the book they thought Harriet accurately describe slavery. The south was appauled by Harriet's book.
