UNDERGROUND RAILROAD

BY A SLAVE AKA(SAMSARA OUTAR)

I am a slave who has escaped from the plantation owner with my family.

I found the Underground Railroad hearing some fellow slaves talk. I wanted to escape and let my family live normal lives, so I took the chance and left at dark.

We made our way out, and began our journey to freedom.

When we stopped at houses there would be quilts as a symbol to know where to stop. As we followed the quilts, we made our way to Canada, and became a people of our own.
