Renaissance

  • Its the beginning of the classic knowledge of Ideas of Art. It began in Italy.

  • Zheng He launched seven expeditions for the Ming Dynasty, by collecting tribute for the permission to the trade with China.

Columbian Exchange

  • The Columbian exchange was movement of people, plants, animals, disease and ideas from the Americas and Europe.

Reformation

  • The movement of religion to be reformed was the reformation. Which founded Christian Churches that denied the Pope's authority.

Atlantic slave trade

  • The transported slaves from Africa, across The Atlantic Ocean, were sold and forced to work in the newly found Americas. Working in mines and plantations.

English Civil War

  • A war between the English parliament and Charles I, establishing the supremacy of Parliament over the Monarchy.

Sikhism

  • A religion who is non-violent who believes in one god. Its a blend of Islam and Hinduism.

Limited monarchy

  • A formed of government that appeared in England to make a monarchy share power with an elected parliament. They limit the power of the monarch.

Mercantilism

  • A policy that increased their wealth and power by retrieving large amounts of gold and silver. Along with selling more than they bought.

Absolute Monarchy

  • King/queen have total control of everything with unlimited power for themselves. "Annioted" by the Gods so it is forbidden to overthrow them.

Glorious Revolution

  • A revolt that overthrew the king of England and signed into law the English Bill of Rights, giving subjects certain rights.
  • It happened back in 1688.

Capitalism

  • Economic system which includes private ownership and investments in business for profit. Known as Free Market and Free Enterprise.

Ottoman Empire

  • Gained control of land and sea trade routes between India and Asia, changed Constantinople to present day Istanbul.

Secular

  • Aren't concerned with religious matters, mostly with world wide problems.
