PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Political Revolution
When people don't like the current government, so they try and replace it.
Republicanism
A government marked by separation of powers. Represent the people through elected officials.
Liberalism
When the state has power limits and the people have freedom.
Coup d'état
Sudden violet overthrow of government. "A blow against the state."
Nationalism
The pride and devotion to one's nation.
Constitutionalism
The political theory calling of government according to fundamental law and principles.
Concession
A special economic privilege granted to a foreign power.
Capital
Wealth in the form of money or of resources that are used to produced other goods.
Capitalism
An economic system in which all resources are privately owned and markets determine how those resources are distributed.
Socialism
The government that owns the resource and distributes them to get other stuff they feel the people need.
Imperialism
A policy in which state can take control of areas beyond its borders politically and economic.
The American revolution was the most important. During this time the Bill of Rights, Treaty of Paris, and the Constitution were all created. Without this important documents we wouldn't have the freedom and rights we have till this day. Even though other revolution were important as we'll, I think the American Revolution was the one that shaped us as a country.
