Four Freedoms: Created by Franklin D. Roosevelt former president during WW2 who left a major impact when speaking out on the 4 freedom speech. The four freedoms include freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from fear, and freedom of want.

Franklin D. Roosevelt: An American president during most of WW2 who also left many positive impacts in history and left legacies for the following presidents to withhold. He advanced so much as president and also was a part of creating the 4 freedoms.

Pearl Harbor: An attack by the Japanese due to the embargo cast by the US for the betrayal America had when japan tried cutting off the Open door policy with Asia leading to the start of WW2.

Doolittle Raid: The response from the US on the attack on Pearl Harbor, was an organized bombing mission into Tokyo. It has two goals which were to boost American morale and expose Japanese vulnerability.

Island Hopping: General Douglas MacArthur had troops who used the tactic of Island hoping to take over islands that were lightly defended throughout the pacific.

Operation Overlord: The liberation of France from Nazi control, gaining entrance into Europe to start pushing back the Nazis later creating a bigger development in world peace.

Manhattan Project: A top-secret mission and assignment to build the atomic bomb that was located in Los Alamos and New Mexico during WW2. It involved the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the surrender of Japan

Tuskegee Airman: African American men and later on women who were brought into the war scene through dedication and people in power who fought for their right to be in the airforce. Where the protectors of the Bombers during WW2.

Allies: a group of countries that together opposed the Axis powers during WW2, promoted the alliance as a means to defeat Nazi Germany, the Empire of Japan, Fascist Italy.

Axis Powers: The countries that fought against the allies around WW2, the alliance had its start in 1936 when treaties were signed between Germany, Italy, and Japan.

United Nations: Once WW2 came to an end the league of nations were replaced with anew order and form of peacekeeping organization that to this day exists.

Navajo Code Talkers: A great amount of Natives from the (Navajo) tribe served in the marine corps to transmit important messages during WW2 that would be extremely undecipherable to a non-native speaker.

War Bonds: To fund the war government officials somewhat encouraged citizens of America to buy these war bonds that loaned government money after the world war and repaid the entire interest and initial cost.

Harry Truman: President of the united states during the crucial times of WW2, had to make the decisions that created more conflict involved the Atomic Bomb.

Adolf Hitler: The leader of Germany’s Nazi Party, Known as the most famous fascist leader and dictator. Germany’s invasion of Poland in 1939 led to the outbreak of World War II.

Fed Korematsu: Refused to leave the community in which he grew up and was arrested. United States Supreme Court upheld his conviction and held that the military orders removing Japanese Americans from the West Coast were lawful under the United States Constitution.

Joseph Stalin: Famous dictator who was the secretary of the communist party in Russia.

Douglas MacArthur: The general that commanded the Southwest Pacific Theater in WW2 and administrated postwar Japan.

Rosie The Riveter: This was a symbol of women's empowerment that was associated with female defense workers during WW2.

Mussolini: Founder of Fascism and leader of Italy from 1922-1943, his importance was that he allied Italy with Nazi Germany.
