United States Population Problem

Made By: Ryan and Lulu

Problem?
Population is one of the largest growing problems in the world, we as humans have many rights (being able to give birth being one of them), but if we don't control and restrain giving birth to a child 'till we're in the position to raise them well, the future generations of the world might suffer dearly for our selfish acts.

Our Solution
To solve the population problem around the world we should enforce a law that doesn't allow people to have children unless they are able to support the family financially.

How Will It Affect Our Economy? (1)
Our economy will increase. Families will make more profit as an overall because there will be a deduction on money spent on children on only one child compared to families who will spend money on more than one child. If our economy is down, there are more chances of unemployment.

Evidence?
In 2005 there was a study that showed 25% of families in the United States who were low class and 65% of householders were unemployed. This shows that big families who have a low income, have the risk of becoming unemployed, and risk losing the opportunity to take care of their big family.

Factual Evidence:
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, for families that make roughly $60,000 a year, each child costs more than $250,000 by the time he or she reaches 18, and that doesn't include college costs.

How Will It Affect Our Society? (2)
As the population increases, the amount of space will be reduced and we will have to start building up and cramming cities and places together. Because of our rapid-growing increase in population, there will be more poverty in the world but thanks to our solution poverty issues caused by population will slowly start to vanish.

As of April 26, 2015, the United States had a total resident population of 320,760,000, making it the third most populous country in the world. Because of our rapid-increase in population, poverty rates have gone up worldwide!

Evidence
Refrain (to stop) from pressuring people to have children if they are not ready or prefer to remain childless. Some cultures value large families. This often suited a sparsely-populated (small) farming or pastoral region. Measures can be taken to model and emphasize the benefits of smaller families. Let's not glorify teen pregnancy with TV shows and tabloid (luring) magazines. Additionally in affluent (wealthy) countries, we need to shift away from a culture of excess and unsustainable consumption.

Political Effect (3)
As more people are born the population increases and then the taxes will have to increase for us to do things such as to fund the retirement funds and to take care of the elderly.

Evidence/Examples
*Let’s say a single retiree needs $3,000 per month after taxes to cover expenses. Can a retiree bring in this income, but still avoid the 25 percent tax rate? It depends on where the income comes from!
*States in the northern eastern part of the USA are less tax friendly. As more and more people are born and come into those small places, the taxes will increase to a point where many people wont be able to afford it.
*Places like Chad and United Arab Kingdom who have the highest taxes, would make people who live there struggle and not be able to buy things in fear of the taxes. Which would lower the economy and affect the whole country.

Concession & Refutation:
People won't be able to act on their most basic human right by not being able to have the amount of children they want, but the population will remain constant, and families will have a greater income.

Concession & Refutation:
If a country decides to disobey the law regarding the income determined child amount, will the people get punished?
Refutation: No we wont have a severe non-reasonable punishment for the people who break the child-income laws because our country is based off a government which gives the people freedom and liberty rights, its for the people and by the people. However, people will get some type of reasonable punishment such as a fine or ticket.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, our solution will help not only our country but other countries facing over-population issues including both MDC's and LDC's !
