PRESENTATION OUTLINE
'Unity is strength' can be one of the easiest sayings to understand. In China, it is said that this famous saying is from Mao. I think in some other parts of the world, it's said by different people. Anyway, it's famous and important. When there are more people, there will be more energy. It's never a big question. But what the famous people want to tell could be more than this, which means the strength is more than just adding up.

Like in some songs,'The strength (of unity) is iron, the strength is steel.
It's even harder and stronger than iron and steel'. It's a very nice metaphor. It shows the strength of unity vividly. It's used to encourage the Chinese soldiers. The song unify them together. During the military training in junior 1, we were asked to sing the song. At that time, we didn't know each other very well. It was the lyrics in that song that brought us together. I finally understood why we need to have that training before the formal school lessons. Unity is so important and the strength it makes is even more important to us.

The strength is not the physical force but the energy that's added to us when we come together. In teamwork, we are sometimes in a big mess, but when we find people standing by us, everything seems to be better. If we realize that others are with us, we are unified. We find the stress is not only ourselves' but also our teammates' and we feel much relaxed.

To be strongly united is so hard for everyone, but we are all coming to each other to be braver, to face the difficulties together. That is probably why unity is strength. And it's so important that it's everywhere in our daily life.
