History of the Oreo
It started as a biscuit; with the National Biscuit Company, it was made in Nibisco in 1912, in Manhattan. Today the same street it began on is known as 'Oreo Way'. In 1921 it was renamed as the 'Oreo Sandwich', and the modern day Oreo design was made in 1952, by William A. Turnier.

The Name Of The Oreo
The name of the Oreo is mysterious and unknown, there are many theories as to how the name is brought up, but one of the main theories is the Greek word "Oreo" meaning 'beautiful,nice,or well-done."

The Oreo Today.
The Oreo is now internationally known sweet and loved by millions. Oreo are used by a diverse of companies as food products. Such as in blizzards, cakes, cupcakes, drinks, yogurt, pies, and many more different deserts.
