• Martha Bratton's husband was Colonel William Bratton.
• Martha was an American Patriot and lived in South Carolina.

Martha Bratton stood up to British soldiers, first when the British were going to steal gunpowder from them she lit the gunpowder and the British were angry.

She also refused to join the British side and tell them where her husband is, (her husband worked with the American Forces)
