2.
INTERPRETATION
Preception refers to a certain set of processes we use to make
Sense of different stimuli we are faced with each day.
Perception lets us handle the world by allowing us to get information
And make educated decisions on how to react to them.
3.
EXAMPLE OF PERCEPTION
If you observe a cloud in the sky, different people will see different images.
Within each person you will receive a different result.
Peoples background and childhood will influence what type of images they will see.
4.
SUBJECTIVE INTERPRETATION
A persons values, experiences, childhood, self-concept, and
Background are all major influences on how a person interprets stimuli.
Some religions believe in only one God and some religions believe in many God's.
If you believe you are smart and a teacher calls on you then you would think that they are
Showing you off, but if you believe that you aren't smart then you may think they are picking on you.
5.
INTERPRETATION
Interpretation is subjective which means that different people
Come to different conclusions about the same exact stimuli.
Subjective interpretation of stimuli is affected by values, needs, expectations, and other factors.
