  • Approached the British about his idea numerous times from 1912-1916
  • Finally the British recognized him.

HOW WERE TANKS USED ?

  • Used to break the deadlock of trench warfare.
  • It provided a safer way to enter the enemies area.

FIRST USE:

  • First used by the British army in 1916.
  • Used during the battle of Somme.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Today the tank has an efficient and improved weapon systems.
  • They now use different material that provides more safety for its crew.
  • Their tracks are modified to allow them to work on more rugged terrain.
  • Has better technology on the inside to help out the soldiers.
