Mens Hair styling has come far from where it started in the 1900's example a skin fade with a hard part. present day it is coming back around but was originated in the 1990's.
Another example of a 1990s hair cut with a pomp.
Today mens clippers cuts are more generic and not as creative as they were in the 1990s. All though they 1990's trends are making there back around.
With Clippers your are able to reach many different levels of length from 1/8 to 1 inch verses where with shears you can on get as short as your fingers will let you or if your able to use comb and shears.
This is an example of a business hair cut with clippers and shears. worn by most kids, older men or men in a high class working environment.
