Ethan Allen is a very interesting person. He was an educated man. He had many accomplishments. He was brave guy. In this essay I will be talking about his child hood adulthood and his greatest accomplishments.
To begin, he was born on January 21 1738. He was born in Litchfield, Connecticut. Allen was the oldest of seven children. His father died when he was young. After his father death he had to care of his mother and the other children. He wasn't able to go to college because he to take care of his family and the farm.
During his adulthood, he did many things. He sold tracts along the onion river. He joined Phillip army as a volunteer. He was sent with recruits to work behind the British lines. He spent 3 years in captivity.
Finally, Ethan Allen had many great accomplishments. Allen fought in the American Revolution. He was a leader of the green mountain boys. Allen led his soldiers to capture fort tishconderoga from the British. They captured him on May 10th, 1775. He became a major general of the militia. He helped found Vermont. He died two years before Vermont became a state.
Therefore, Allen was an great leader. He did many things. Allen is one of the reasons Vermont is a state. He did what he thought was right, even after he spent 3 years in captivity. Ethan Allen is an inspiring person.
