John Griffith London was born on
January 12, 1876
in San Francisco, California.
After grade school, London had many odd jobs and didn't make a lot of money.
London took the greatest adventure in his life when he went to the Klondike in 1897 in search for gold.
He went because he was longing for adventure, but also was healthy and young.
When he didn't strike it rich, he came back after one year.
Only after did London start his writing about his adventure to the Klondike. And many other popular stories today.

Jack London was married to Bessie Maddern and had two kids. He only married her so they could have a sturdy family and children
They were later divorced in 1904. He was remarried in 1905.
Jack London died on November 22, 1916 of late alcoholism, and was taking morphine for his extreme pain.
He passed on his farm houses porch in a rocking chair.
