What are STD's ?

Sexually transmitted diseases, also known as sexually transmitted infections. This is the umbrella term used to describe over 20 different types of infections.

What is Chlamydia ?

It is a sexually transmitted infection in humans caused by the bacterium chlamydia trachomatis.

What is Trichomoniasis?

Often the common cause of vaginitis. It is sexually transmitted infection and is caused by the single celled protozoan parasite.

What is Hepatitis B?

It is an infectious disease that is caused by the Hep B virus which in returns affects the liver.

What is HPV?

It is know as the human papilloma virus. Like all papilloma viruses ,HPV establishes production infections only in keratinocytes of the skin or mucous membrane.

Why are unreported case of STDs an important public concern?

This is a serious issue for the simple fact that the spread will continue. If it is unreported then it is untreated and the person may not even experience symptoms.

-Examine the principles useful in studying the etiology and disease prevention and also how intimate sexual contact can promote exchange of microbial pathogens between individuals.

The urinary and reproductive system go hand and hand. Both with openings introduced to the external environment, being more prone to infection. The exchange of microbial pathogens between individuals occurs during intimacy when bodily fluids are exchanged .

Once these fluids are exchanged this also when the swap of infections takes place. Now how do we go about prevent this from happening? Condoms are the only solution to not exchanging bodily fluids. During intercourse men usual wear condoms, but there are ones for women.

Not enough women are taking matters into their own hands. Female condoms protect the entire vaginal region, not just internal.
