Federalism

The idea that power is split between the national and state governments.

Independent Judiciary

The idea that the Judicial Branch makes decisions without influence from the Legislative or Executive Branch.
I chose this photo because when I think of judiciary I think of court and lawyers and judges so used a photo of a court house.

LEGISLATIVE BRANCH

:The part of government that creates laws. It is led by Congress.
I chose this photo because it says they they create laws so a photo of the word law makes sense in my head.

EXECUTIVE BRANCH

The part of government that carries out laws. It is led by the President.
The definition says it led by the president so I used a photo of Mount Rushmore because it has a few on there to represent them.

JUDICIAL BRANCH.

The part of government that interprets laws. It is led by the Supreme Court.
I chose this building because it’s the capital and I believe that’s where a lot of the Supreme Court things happen.

A written plan of government.
I selected this photo because it’s a photo of the constitution of America.

PREAMBLE

An introduction that states the purpose of a document.
I chose this photo because it shows the beginning of the U.S constitution and a preamble is the introduction of a document.
