LEARNING TARGETS

  • Validity- This story is not taken out of context and is a factual story.
  • Accuracy- From reading many sources on this topic and watching visual proof I can conclude that this story is accurate.
  • Ideology- This video wants us to think that a man broke the fastest jet powered suit world record.
  • Emotional appeal- I believe they want us to feel a sense of excitement that this technology has been produced.
  • Bias- I do not believe that this video is bias. It is just a factual news report.
  • Prejudice- I have no reason to believe that here are any stereotypes involved in this story.

Facebook post posted by Bobby Sumulong

In Bobby's Facebook post sharing 'Guinness World Records's article on the record break he states "Almost there,if it is fully stable,i'm gonna have that one,,maybe!!" (Bad grammar, I know).

LEARNING TARGETS

  • Validity- I believe that the article itself is not taken out of context, nor the post by Bobby himself.
  • Accuracy- The accuracy of the article is very legit, along with Bobby's excitement for the jet powered suit.
  • Ideology- I believe that Bobby would like us to think that the Jet powered suit is immensely fascinating and would be an interesting object to own/possess.

CONTINUED

  • Emotional Appeal- The emotional appeal to Bobby's post is to make us feel happiness and excitement for the new coming suit that we may possibly purchase in the future.
  • Bias- Yes, I have reason to believe that Bobby is biased in favor of the suit. He strongly thinks that it is cool and wants one even though he has not taken in to consideration that the suit could be potentially very dangerous.

  • Prejudice- I do not believe that there are any stereotypes or prejudices involved in Bobby's post.
