USED BY GOD

18 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:
2 “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.”
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something at the wheel.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.

18:1Palabra de Jehová que vino a Jeremías, diciendo:
2 Levántate y vete a casa del alfarero, y allí te haré oír mis palabras.
3 Y descendí a casa del alfarero, y he aquí que él trabajaba sobre la rueda.
4 Y la vasija de barro que él hacía se echó a perder en su mano; y volvió y la hizo otra vasija, según le pareció mejor hacerla.

THE POTTER

Never once did the clay say what it wanted to be

The clay was totally subjected to my design

A big significant difference here
-We are clay with a will
-Because although God may have wonderful
plans for your life, you may never see though
plans because of your own free will.

Today I want to talk to you about 3 types of clay that the potter can do nothing with.

Clay that is bone dry.

People go through rock bottom situations Si they can look/ come to Jesus...
Why???

God is taking a bone dry hard pot and crushing it so He can use it again

God cannot use bone dried clay.... He has to crush you to use you again

LACK OF MOISTURE

Clay that existed but cannot be used
Soft to exist but not soft enough to be moldeable
The place where many Believers are in today
Just enough of a relationship to know they are saved & forgiven
Making sure they are saved when the time comes

1 Corinthians 3:12-15

Implies people who have not let God mold them

Invest their time in temporal things

Bringing satisfaction to themselves on Earth

Needs Water...
Needs HOLY SPIRIT

Throughout the Bible, water symbolizes The Holy Spirit

CLAY WITH HIDDEN AIR

• Goes thru the process
• Everything looks good (on the "OUTSIDE")
• Until it goes through the FIRE

Air pockets are not seen

Hidden Air = Hidden Sin

When it goes thru the Fire, it damages/explodes the clay

Youth, God has a way of turning up the FIRE in our lives
God cannot use that clay until air pockets are taken care of

*Church, hidden sin is nothing to play with. 
*This is why Jesus constantly called the Jewish leaders vipers and hypocrite. 
*Because on the outside, they looked like a polished vessel, but on the inside they were full of hidden sin.
