5 Important dates: 1821-Mexico won its independans from Spain and claimed all of Utah.
1850- Utah became U.S. Territory.
1999- tornado hit Salt Lake City and cost 100 million dollars in damage.
2002- Winter Olympics were held in Utah.
2007- six coal miners trapped in a collapse.
