  • This is a physical map of Utah.
  • Kings peak is the highest point in Utah

GOVERNMENT AND STATISTICS

  • Utahs Capital: Salt Lake City.
  • Governor: Gary Herbert.
  • Utah was admitted as a state in January 4, 1896.
  • Population: 2.855 million.
  • 5 largest cities: Salt Lake, West Valley, Provo, West Jordan, Orem.

  • 5 Important dates: 1821-Mexico won its independans from Spain and claimed all of Utah.
  • 1850- Utah became U.S. Territory.
  • 1999- tornado hit Salt Lake City and cost 100 million dollars in damage.
  • 2002- Winter Olympics were held in Utah.
  • 2007- six coal miners trapped in a collapse.
