Vacoules: a small cavity in the cytoplasm of a cell bound by the single membrane containing water, food, or metabolic waste.

Vacuoles

  • Store the nutrients a cell might need to survive
  • Found in plant and animal cells
  • Store waste products to protect the cell
  • Works as a storage closet or backpack for the cell
  • There's a membrane that surrounds the cell's fluid

  • Has different molecules dissolved in solution
  • Fluid that fills the cell
  • Found in it are enzymes, fatty acids, sugar, animo acids
  • The items found in it keep the cell working
