Vampires are supernatural creatures. They live by feeding off of humans. Some vampires choose the animal diet, but this can sometimes end badly. Most commonly, human blood is their first choice.

Some people think that vampires look all crazy and bloody, but that is not true! Vampires look like regular people like you and me.

Many people think that if a vampire bites you, you turn into a vampire. This is not true. To become a vampire, you must have vampire blood in your system and then you have to die. When you wake up, you will complete the transformation by feeding. If you do not feed, you will die (for real).
When you first become a vampire, it is very hard to control yourself when you feed. Once you start, it is very hard to stop. This is why, new vampires usually kill their first few victims. Soon, they learn to stop when they need to. So, if a vampire feeds on you, it will not kill you. It will only kill you if they take too much of your blood.
All vampires have fangs. Though, they only come out when they are near blood. A vampire will look human until they see or come in contact with blood. When this happens they will have dark veins appear under their eyes and their eyes become dark. This is also the time when fangs appear.

Werewolves are vampires worst enemies. A werewolf bite is deadly to a vampire. It will slowly to true them causing hallucinations and much more. It takes about a day or less for it to kill the vampire. In some cases though, they become friends, like on the show called The Vampire Diaries. There is also something called a hybrid. This is a very rare case where the creature is a vampire and a werewolf mixed together. It is very deadly.

VERVAIN!!!
Vervain is a vampires #1 weakness. It is a plant and if it is in your system, it will burn the vampire when they try to drink your blood. Vervain burns vampires. It will also stop the vampires from compelling you. It is used very often to torture the vampires.

COMPELLING
Compelling is a special power that vampires have. Compelling is used on humans to make them under their control. Ex: the could make them do something, make them forget something, make them think something that is true, etc. The original vampires have an even more power. They can also compel other vampires. Only the original vampires can do so.

Vampires are affected by sunlight. Because of this, many vampires must become nightwalkers. Which are the stereotypical vampires that only come out at night. Many vampires are lucky enough to have a daylight ring, necklace or other piece of jewelry. This jewelry must be spelled by a witch. It will give the vampire the power to be in sunlight. If they are not wearing it, they can't walk in the sun without being burnt.
